Proper dryer venting is an important part of a home, but is often neglected (or even ignored) by many professionals. When installing a dryer vent keep in mind two points about what they are venting: air that is (1) Warm, and (2) Wet.
This seems simple, but nonetheless important. For instance, if there is not a continuous upward grade to the vent pipe, warm air will not vent properly – because warm air want to go upward. Also, if there are sags or twists in the vent hose, then those will collect water, begin to leak, and constrict airflow.
So before you put that dyer vent just anywhere, contact me and I will be happy to help you find the best way to vent it.
