Teaching Experience

Teaching experience has come from being an on-site supervisor for a structural crew with both formal and on-the-job classes in areas such as safety, quality-control, and technical training.

As part of my leadership skills in the Navy Seabees, I served as training officer from 1989 to 1990. Instructional responsibilities included: implementation of a comprehensive training program for a detachment of one hundred men. This program included such curriculum as safety, quality-control, technical skills, and interpersonal skills. Administrative duties included: documentation, report writing, advancement exam reporting, and submitting monthly training reports.

As a professional home inspector, my teaching experience has been seminars for realtors, presentations for the Midwest Pro-ASHI Chapter, serving as a code instructor for Professional Training Associates, a home inspection training school located in Kansas City, and providing on-the-job experience for a new inspector joining our firm.
